Save your money in Rick Ross’ head with the 3D printed Ricky Bank

Ricky Bank 3D printedDo you like hip hop? Do you have a tonne of loose change lying around, willy-nilly, messing up your bedroom? Do you have a spare five grand burning a hole in your pocket? Then Brandon Hixon over at boutique music agency We Make Music has the answer to all your problems.

Say hello to the Ricky Bank, a 3D printed piggy bank in the shape of Rick Ross’ big, bald, beardy, bespectacled head. It’s the blingingest way to store your shrapnel and it’s all yours for a mere $4,999.99. Yeap, that’s right, for just £2,991 you can have the Florida rhyme-smith’s bronze bonce sitting on your dresser, holding your pennies and pounds.

Hitting the shelves just in time for the release of Ross’ 6th album Mastermind, which drops this week, the Ricky Bank is printed in 420 Stainless Steel that is then infused with bronze, for a final composition that is 70% steel and 30 % bronze. Not only that, it’s dishwasher safe, watertight and has the durability to stand up to temperatures as high as 831 degrees Celsius.

All kidding aside, the process by which the Ricky Bank is created is pretty impressive, as explained over on the We Make Music website:

To build ‘The Ricky Bank’ special 3D printers deposit small drops of glue onto layers of stainless steel powder, on layer at a time, until the bank is complete… The bank then goes through an infusion process that replaces the glue with bronze, creating a full metal product. The bank is then processed, sprayed with a sealant and shipped to you.

Ricky BankIf you’re asking yourself who on earth is in the market for a 5K piggy bank, then you obviously don’t know much about rap music. In a scene where Drake throws $50,000 in the air in strip clubs and Wiz Khalifa spends $10,000 a month on weed, splurging $5,000 on a piggy bank seems like quite a wise investment.

In fact, for those whose passion for flashin’ is not sated by a mere 5 grand Ricky Bank, silver, gold and black ceramic versions are also available for even heftier price tags. Not only that, Hixon promises Biggie and Diddy banks will be on the way shortly.
